Deck The Halls: Club Festivities

Yassou Members and Friends,

With Christmas almost upon us and the New Year looming, it is time for us to reflect on the year and pass on our well wishes to our loyal members and valued patrons.

As is usually the case at this time of the year, we all reflect on how quickly the year has passed and it is incredible to think that we will be celebrating Christmas in just a couple of weeks, and a week after that, 2017 will have arrived.

Here at the club we have had a very strong year engaging with our members in many ways including the two member’s nights culminating in the Christmas Banquet last Saturday night where we gave away a $1,000 travel voucher to our lucky member Arthur Bowdidge. It was a great night with our President giving a welcome speech informing all present of the exciting news that within the next 18 months the Club will undergo some major renovations including the complete refurbishment of the ground floor and a first floor balcony extension above the existing Terrace. This will allow the club to take advantage of the great outlook across the heart of the city. One of the major improvements that happened this year was the construction of the Edmondstone Street carpark. This has helped our members dining at the Taverna have a hassle free parking experience.

Don’t forget that we have Brisbane’s most extensive range of Greek beer, wine and spirits available for purchase for members at our Odyssey Bottle Shop. Also remember to book for our 2016 New Year’s Eve Party as it is selling out fast.
